The Importance and Benefits of Passing the Compatible Application Check

All eBay Developers Program members are encouraged to submit their application for the Compatible Application Check that is provided as a free service to our program members. It is also a prerequisite for API developers participating in the Selling Manager Application opportunity.

When your application passes the Compatible Application Check you'll be able to take advantage of the following:

• An increase of up to 1.5 million free API calls per day
• Use of the eBay Compatible Application logo to highlight your product as a trusted application
• Distribution of a press release—with eBay approval—about your product

To speed your product through the Compatible Application Check be sure to do the following:

• Read and follow the eBay policies and API License Agreement criteria
• Implement the best practices found in Prerequisites for Going Live Checklist 
• Review and use the API Logo Usage Guidelines reference.

Once your application has passed the Compatible Application check, you have permission to use the eBay Compatible Application logo. You can use this logo to market your application on your website and in printed materials, subject to the license agreement.
