Guidelines on naming your company, naming your products and describing your relationship with eBay

You may not use "eBay" or "Bay" (regardless of the letter case) as part of your company name, your trade name (if different from official company name), our house brand, or your url domain name.

We prefer that you do not use "eBay" (regardless of the letter case) in the name of your product or services. Nevertheless, if you choose to use it, you may only use it in a descriptive suffix. You may not use it as a prefix in the name of your solution, as such use could suggest that eBay is the source.

For example, "eBay Listing Tool" is not permitted; "Listing Tool for eBay" is acceptable.

Please refer to your relationship with eBay as being a "member" of, or having "membership" in, the eBay Developers Program. Please do not refer to your relationship as an association or affiliation with eBay or its Developers Program. Likewise, you may not refer to your relationship as a "partnership."

If you have any questions about implementing these guidelines, please contact us at developer-relations@ebay.com, and we will be happy to assist you.
