| Developer Impact: |

One of the first things a developer does when building and testing his or her application is to create test user accounts. This tool impacts developers by streamlining the current test user account (buyer) registration and seller account creation processes for the eBay Sandbox. |
| |
| Tool Description: |
| The Sandbox User Registration Tool allows an easy one click creation of new user accounts (buyer and seller) in the eBay Sandbox. This tool generates the accounts with just an email address, user id and password. You can use this tool to produce accounts for 16 different countries. Currently, the United States Sandbox environment is available but once the Sandbox supports international sites, you will be able to use these accounts in their home country Sandbox environments. |
| |
| Note that all user accounts will be created with stubbed information for name, address, phone number and other required registration information. However, this information can be modified via Change Registration Information under My eBay on the eBay Sandbox. |
| |
| Tool Benefits: |
|
Sandbox User Registration Tool improves sandbox usability for developers. Currently, the eBay Sandbox requires the developer to go through the registration process, and then make the ValidateTestUser API call to activate the sandbox test user. This presents the following challenges: too much complexity to create test users, registration work flow is too long, and several test accounts are required in testing applications. The Sandbox User Registration Tool addresses these challenges with an easily accessible one page form you can use to generate both buyer and seller test accounts. |
