Sample feed and response files | eBay Developers Program

This page includes links to sets of sample feed files that you can use as templates to create your own files. Also included are schemas, response files, and reports to use to validate your XML, or to view fields of expected response files (both XML and CSV).

To use a sample file as a template, click the link to open the file, download it to a working directory on your system, save it with a name that fits your products or store, edit the file to include your products, and save it as a CSV or XML file.

eBay feed samples

CSV format	XML format	Contents/purpose
availability.csv	availability.xml	Includes the ship-to-home quantity information for your products
availability-bopis.csv	availability-bopis.xml	Includes the BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick up In Store) and Click and Collect quantity information for your products. BOPIS is supported for the EBAY_US marketplace, while Click and Collect is supported for the EBAY_AU, EBAY_DE, and EBAY_UK marketplaces.
category-metadata.csv	category-metadata.xml	Includes category metadata for your products. The response file returns item specifics based on the Channel ID and category ID.
delete-inventory.csv	delete-inventory.xml	Includes details about information that must be included in this feed: SKU, Action, ChannelID, and Format
distribution.csv	distribution.xml	Includes the payment policy, shipping policy, return policy, shipping or pickup overrides, pricing, category, and sales channel information for your products
inventory.csv	inventory.xml	Includes price and quantity information to simplify listing maintenance
location.csv	location.xml	Includes the location of the seller's warehouse and stores where products can be picked up. The location file can be used to add or update any location.
order-fulfillment.csv	order-fulfillment.xml	Includes information about shipped orders and individual line items, such as carrier, tracking number, and status
product.csv	product.xml	Includes details such as title, product identifier, product description, item condition, variation specifics, attributes, and image URLs
product-combined.csv	Single-SKU: product-combined-single-sku.xml Multiple-SKU: product-combined-multi-sku.xml	Includes an aggregate of all inventory management data (product, availability, and distribution)
product-combined-compatibility.csv	product-combined-compatibility.xml	Very similar to product-combined feeds, with the addition of Parts Compatibility information
product-search.csv	product-search.xml	Includes details about information that must be included in this feed: Keywords, ProductIdentifier, Category, ReferenceId, ChannelID, and Attributes
promoted-listings.csv	Not available	Includes information needed to create and maintain ad campaigns on eBay
promoted-listings-eligibility.csv	Not available	Includes information needed to determine which of a seller’s listings are eligible for promotion in an ad campaign on eBay

eBay feed schemas (XSD format)

mip-ng-schema.zip	A zip file that contains schemas for all product feed types: common, distribution, product, product-combined, inventory, availability, distribution, location, order, order-fulfillment, delete, and product search.
